You can now easily delete your last 15 minutes of search history on your Android smartphone without having to go to the My Account interface where Google keeps track of all your activities.
This feature, which was already present on the iOS version of the Google application, is being rolled out to all Android devices.
It’s very easy to use, since it only requires two actions to delete your recent search history on the spot. Here is how.
1. Update your Google App
If you haven’t already done so, update the Google app on your Android smartphone. The latest version of the application is still being deployed. It may not be available on your device for a few days. If this is the case, please be patient.
2. Delete history
Launch the Google application on your Android smartphone or iPhone, and tap on your avatar, displayed on the top right of the interface. Then tap on the option Delete last 15 minutes.
Your search history for the last 15 minutes of use of the application is then automatically deleted. This deletion is applied to your entire Google Account, which means that it is applied to your smartphone as well as to all of your devices where your Google Account is signed in, whether it’s a tablet, a Chromebook or Google Chrome on a Mac or PC.
