When you have trouble using one of your Apple devices because it is broken or defective, you should turn to the experts at the Genius Bar. Even if some problems can be solved directly by phone, chat or email, in-store support is often the best solution. However, to get an appointment at your Apple Store, it’s best to make an appointment in advance. Without a reservation, and after a long wait, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get help. To avoid unnecessary travel, we explain how to book assistance at your Apple Retail Store.
Make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store online
To make a reservation at the Genius Bar at your Apple Retail Store, go to Apple.com The Genius page provides details on how to get help. To find solutions to your hardware problems, scroll down the page and click Hardware Support. You will then be able to choose between View Your Products, Search for a Case or Repair, or View All Products. Under View your products, enter your Apple credentials, then select the device of your choice and identify your needs. Next, you have several choices: Find a service center, contact via Chat or Call. First, to save time, we recommend contacting an Apple technician via phone or chat. However, if you feel it would be better to meet with an expert in person, then click Find a Service Center to set up an appointment at an Apple Store. Based on your geolocation, the brand will suggest the stores nearest to you. Before you go to the store, be sure to read Apple’s instructions. It is recommended that you back up your device and you will need to bring an ID (with photo) with your reservation name. Make an appointment at an Apple Store via the Apple Support app
To book a slot at the Genius Bar, you can also go through the Apple Support app. To do so:
- Open the app.
- Select your device.
- Tap on Repairs and physical damage, then identify your problem.
- Go to Search for authorized centers.
- Choose the Apple Store nearest you.
- Select a meeting time.
- Enter your phone number.
- Tap on Continue, then on Book.
- Finish with OK.
